The home owner had a coat closet under the stairs near the front entry that was only 9" inches deep. It was too small for even a coat hanger. We opened the area under the stairs and installed sheetrock and texture with a larger shelf, a coat hanger bar, and a extra hidden room in the corner. Now there is room for fishing rods, Christmas tree storage, pool towels, and visitors' coats. Southlake TX.
